Assessing the Effects of Carmelo’s Return to NYC

Aside from 27 points and 10 rebounds in Wednesday night’s game, the newly acquired Knick has been bringing a lot more to his hometown over the course of a short week.

Time to Wait in Line at Shake Shack

It must be nice out. The Shake Shack line is wrapped around the park, just as it was a few months ago, before the cold weather hit. If you’re up for waiting, she restaurant’s famous burgers, cheese fries, and frozen custard are ready for you at both the Madison Square  Park and Upper West Side locations.

Shake Shack on the Roof?

Rumors are circulating that Danny Meyer, the Shale Shack King, is in talks with the Gramercy Park Hotel about a new rooftop restaurant. The New York Post notes that the plan is so secret that the hotel staff doesn’t even know about it yet. Will the restaurant be another Shake Shack, something like his upscale Maialino restaurant, or a completely new concept? If I hear anything, I’ll let you know.

Shake Shack Expanding to Boston?

Shake Shack in Madison Square Park

The Shake Shack, the restaurant with a consistent line wrapping around Madison Square Park, is taking its popularity to Boston. The New York Times reports that Danny Meyer, owner of the burger-filled hot spot is eyeing the Boston Commons for his next location. Meyer is up against seafood restaurant Common House for the space, in an all out bidding war.
