When is a dollar worth more than a dollar?

Besen Retail is happy to announce that 787 Ninth Avenue is leased. The new tenants moving in will be opening a Pizza Shop, not just any pizza shop, but $1 pizza!!! With neighboring tenants like Blue 9 Burgers, Pita Grill, Subway, and Holey Cream Ice Cream, the only thing this high traffic food block was missing is pizza. Problem solved, in just a few short months a brand new pizza store will be opening. You can never have enough pizza, especially is it’s only $1.

Katz’s, that’s all!

Last weekend I decided to venture downtown to the World famous, Katz’s delicatessen. At Katz’s you can find delicious old fashioned deli food however, there’s nothing old fashioned about these prices.

Dine Out for Haiti Update

Ilili has ralled 40 New York restaurants to participate in an effort to raise money for Haiti. Each restaurant has agreed to donate 10 percent of sales to the cause this Sunday, January 24th. Some of the restaurants that have been added to the list are Freemans, La Esquina, B Bar & Grill, Craftbar, and Fatty Crab. Visit this link to see the rest of the participants.

I asked you “what is the best retail trend of 2009?” and the poll results are in. “Vegan everything” beat out pop-up shops, comfort foods, and even vintage and consignment stores. Try some of my featured  New York spots with vegan dishes like Cocoa V, Babycakes, Organic Avenue, Angelica’s Kitchen, and the Organic Grill.
