The Union Square Holiday Market is back!!!

It’s the most wonderful time of the year… the Union Square holiday market is open! Get all your holiday shopping done in one place at this festive fair. Union Square is engulfed by holiday spirit. Lines of red and white tents circle the 14th Street subway station each one filled with unique gifts and delicious foods. The market opens annually and runs from the day after Thanksgiving through Christmas Eve, featuring over 100 different vendors.

In the spirit of Halloween, I decided to check out one of the most delicious candy stores NY has to offer, Economy Candy.

The Museum of Modern Art is one of the most well known museums in NYC, so why not make the most of your visit. Thursday nights, MoMA adds extra attraction through live music and cash bar cocktails in the Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Sculpture Garden. Enjoy breathtaking exhibits, music and ….gelato. The garden cart sells gelato and sorbet from Il Laboratorio del Gelato throughout the evening. Can’t make it Thursday? You’re in luck, Friday evenings MoMA offers free admissions from 4:00 to 8:00 pm.

The Feast of San Gennaro

The 85th Annual Feast of San Gennaro will be taking over Mulberry Street, Thursday, September 15, through Sunday, September 25, 2011. The festival is the longest running and largest in the US and is expected to attract more than one-million people.
