Looking for something delicious and philanthropic to do this weekend? Support New York City’s public schools (P.S. 3 and P.S.41) on Sunday from noon to 4pm at “Taste the West Village.” Dozens of the most popular restaurants in the West Village will be cooking as well as serving cocktails after the tasting to support the schools.
Several packages are available based on how much tasting you would like to do. The American Express VIP Package, $75, gets the holder reserved seating, 20 tastes, early admission, and a private cocktail party from 4-6pm. The second is the $45 Premier Package, which includes 20 tastes and a bracelet for the cocktail event. If you don’t need the full 20 tastes, purchase 10 tastes with the West Villager package for $25, and the kids can get 5 tastes with $10. Just looking for cocktails? Buy the $25 bracelet to the cocktail party.
The Food Network will also hold an auction at the event, where atendees can win cookbooks, tickets, and more. Some of the most loved restaurants in the area will be participating, including an Eastern European bistro with the best Tarte Flambe “August,” the restaurant most enjoyed by the fashion industry, “Bobo,” and “Little Owl,” a Mediterranean restaurant famous for crispy soft-shelled crab.
Spend Sunday afternoon at The Yard at P.S.41, and enjoy up to 20 tastes of some of the most amazing food New York has to offer. Tickets can be purchased at the door or online.
